Wondering how you can carve out some time for yourself, get your head clear, and energy high?
It can be easy to feel overwhelmed as the dreams and positivity on holiday seem to fade in direct relation to the length of the to-do lists and the hit of reality.
You can reconnect back to that inspiration and positivity of potential.
The first and very common contributor is the mind. Yes that pesky part of you (we call it the concrete mind) that likes to be in charge, think it has all the answers and loves to go round in circles. Your overthinking companion!
Here’s help – Try this grounding exercise
This exercise helps us centre and ground. It creates a little space and time out from those thoughts.
- Sit comfortably and close your eyes
- Put your attention on your feet
- Feel them on the floor, feel the carpet, floor, your shoes.
- Connect to the ground, to Mother Earth
- Now put your attention on your breath and follow it for 2 or 3 breaths in
- Connect in with your heart space
- Sit with this soft focus and awareness for a minute or two following your breath in an out
- When ready, come back to awareness, notice the sounds around you and your body in the chair.
- Open your eyes
